We wtorkowy poranek, 10 października 2017r. klasa VIIa i VIIb wybrały się do Teatru VARIETE na spektakl w języku angielskim pt. "Fahrenheit 451" przygotowany przez TNT TEATRE.
Uczniowie byli spektaklem zachwyceni. Był to bardzo miło spędzony czas, a jednocześnie dobra lekcja języka angielskiego! Wrażeniami ze spektaklu, wyrażonymi oczywiście po angielskim, podzieliła się uczennica klasy VIIa.
On Tuesday, classes 7A and 7B went to "Variete" theatre to see a spectacle entitled "Fahrenheit 451". It was a play based on Raymond Brandbury's book wrote in 1953. It showed the world without a "high culture", dominated by soup operas, picture stories, cheap enterteinment for masses. There was no room for conversation, love, happiness. They were replaced with narrow-minded television, violance and loneliness in an anonymous crowd.
It was a story about a country in the future where books were against the law. The main character was a fireman – Guy Montag. He was very dedicated to his work. In his world people grassed their neightbours up if they had a book. Then a firemen appeared and burnt book owners' houses. The title "Fahrenheit 451" came from the temperature in which the book paper burnt. Guy had no reflaction on what he was doing until one day he met his neightbour – Clarisse. On their first meeting she asked Montag if he was happy. Hanceforth a fireman started to look for the answers in books and he revealed how crucial they were for people to support their open mind and personal freedom. At the same time others much of their time spent on watching TV. Montag understood how many bad things he did and soon started to plan a rebellion against the goverment.
I really liked a plot of this story. It was very interesting and a lot has happened. In my opinion actors played very well. I think that living without books would be very difficult for the world because they teach us about emotions and due to them we can know other people's stories.
I really recommand this very touching play as it emphasises the importance of literature. That is why I think that Raymond Brandbury's book is obligatory to know for every young generation.
We looking forward to another TNT THEATRE performance!!!
